Naw 16-bit, I don't think it has to be that simple. Just because a guy might feel ill at looking at cutesy things, would rather listen to, say, Black Flag instead of The Pet Shop Boys, finds real live women sexier than giggly anime girls, shouldn't have to apologize over it. Likewise, if a man wants to get in touch with his feminine side, get a manicure, keep his house painfully spotless, listen to Diana Ross, whatever, he shouldn't have to apologize either. Either way is a way of living that makes the individual more comfortable. Neither one isn't wrong or evil. I think too often, people, in wanting to be open-minded, tend to be close-minded to things that it doesn't take a whole lot of open-mindedness to enjoy.
As for me, I too stand for badassedness! If that's a word...*heh* Anyway, I'm sort of a hypocrite in saying that since I'm real into characters like Bomberman and Air Zonk. I can't help but think of the analogy Henry Rollins gave one time. He was making fun of the "Tame Yourself" song the animal rights activists put out. He said him and Ted Nugent were gonna get together and make a song called "Maim Yourself", and it'd be about chasing women, shooting guns, and eatting hamburgers.

Well, gokusama, I apologize if I offended you with my post, but I think you might have misunderstood where I coming from with it. I never said it had to be an extreme one way or the other, I was just using that as an example of how far people may go with things. Naw man, don't sweat it. I certainly don't think a person is light in the loafers if they like Hello Kitty or anything, and honestly I really don't care what other people are like anyway. All I was saying is that people shouldn't have to apologize over anything that they themselves enjoy. I look at it like this: If it doesn't hurt you, and it doesn't hurt others, enjoy whatever you want...

I don't really think Iori has that train of thought either, forcing his way onto others, I think he was just asking who thinks the same way he does. I'm not playing devil's advocate here, but hell, you can hardly blame a person for wondering if their thoughts on things are shared by others.

Thank you, Lou. If I post a topic asking if people agree with the topic stated, and someone posts something in disagreement, it's pretty much guaranteed I (or anybody else) will give them shit. Don't mean I'm pushing anything.
I am also disgusted at that term "open-minded" If someone believes that certain things are just plain wrong, more power to him. It seems in this PC-bullshit world today if you're anti-anything, you're a marked man.
