XBox 360 Update Freeze

Anyone's system crap out yet?
Mine started with 2 pink horizontal lines, and a black screen.
Now it freezes after a couple of minutes of playing time.

Are the problems happenning to systems that are connected to Live only? I have had mine since launch and have never hooked it up to Live even once. Thankfully my system is working perfectly so far. I did have it lock up once while playing Oblivion when it first came out, but beyond that I have had no problems. Has there been any mention of 360's crashing like yours that never get connected online?

Anytime you reprogram a flash chip (especially over network) you run the risk of a write failure, and I think thats what is going on with these updates.

Both of my 360s are still running fine.

Was there an update today? I didn't receive an update notice.

Well it looks like my problem is only ON LIVE, not offline.
Hopefully MS will respond with some sort of patch. I don't
think my console needs to be send out for a fixing, since
it's working fine offline, however I do hope MS responds
quickly with a fixing patch.

Btw, the update that's causing this was available on 11/30.
I updated it late, because I was on vacation.

I went back to the place I got my 360 from and got a REPLACEMENT warranty for it

that way, I can get a new 360 if I have any of these problems

I sent my faulty 360 to MS warranty (Since they extended), I should
be getting another shortly. Good thing is, I do have two 360's.
