Well the bar was set pretty low thats for sure, watching a frozen turd melt would be more entertaining than watching Episode II again. I do have hope for this one

I'm sure this might be my emotional problems kicking in, but I could care less about this movie and whether its good or not.

I'm seeing it on Saturday, but I'm finding it very difficult to get excited about this.

I don't give a shit about reviews. Not for movies, games, books, etc. This movie looks awesome to me based on the trailers so I'm gonna see it.

Gotta see Creed first though.

Kind of tough to judge at this point as the Star Wars fandom has been desperate for an even serviceable movie for 30 years. I would take any of the pre-release hype with a huge grain of salt.

If nothing else, people think it's at least respectful of the original movies and has the sense of being lived-in that the prequel movies sure as shit didn't have. I'll wait til the wife sees it and if she decides I "have" to, I'll hit an IMAX showing after the stupidity dies down.

I'm not seeing it until Friday, so I'm about to go internet dark. I don't need reviews skewing my perspective.

I'm the same way…I'm trying to get myself excited about it…but I'm just not. I bought tickets to take the family to see it on Christmas Eve..but I'm pretty cold about it.

Ep. I just wrecked me…I was so into the hype, so excited…I was there opening day…all ready for a new SW film to fall in love with. What was delivered as a fucking disaster. Ep II and III were equally as bad in so many ways. Sure, they were varying degrees of bad…but none were good. I have them all on DVD and have never felt the need to re watch any of them. Were actually contemplated watching I-VI before going to see VII…and the very thought of watching I-III was so bad, we decided against it.

I hope that VII reignites the flame…but I am beyond skeptic...

I'm going to try and see it after work tomorrow. If not, I'll just wait until next week. I'm cautiously optimistic about it. I've been on media black out on it too.

Zero interesting Star Wars.

Real interest in a Lee Gray porno.

Starring Seta Souji.

I think everyone that got burned by the prequel hype is going to feel a little gun shy after that. I know I am.
I kept going to the next movie, convincing myself that it couldn't possibly be worse than the last one.

Episode 3 was comedy though. I've grown to love it the way once can only love a campy bad movie.

I'm personally gonna wait a couple of weeks. I don't care about spoilers. I think if a film should stand on the strength of its entire story and contents and not just the plot twists and gotchas.

I'm keeping my expectations low. All I want is for it to be better than the Star Trek films JJ Abrams did, and better than the prequels.

Thoughts? Think this star wars movie will actually live up to the hype?

Nope. People take Star Wars too seriously, they were made as a homage to Flash Gordon serials, it would be like someone making an indie game that pays homage to Metal Slug and then 30 years later people treating it like The Last of Us.

I am excited about the new movie but I'm going in with low expectations. I am probably not going to see it until sometime next week, so I'll probably be spoilered anyway :(

I'm super excited for it. Its supposed to be a real true return to form.

I'm especially excited after hearing about a big spoiler after the premiere.

Spoiler:
Snape kills Skywalker

For fuck's sake, we've gotten three lousy Star Wars Movies in a row, and haven't had one worth watching for 32 years. How little faith do we have in the movie industry if we doubt that this movie will be good? They've had plenty enough time to come up with something that doesn't suck, and they managed to get Lucas the hell away from it.

I would never watch this movie as the constant hype and the IN YOUR FACE star wars shit everywhere I turn around just threw me off.

The people who do the marketing and merchandising aren't connected to the people who made the movie. Neither are the people who are buying all of this shit. Might as well never play another Nintendo game because people won't stop buying Amiibos.
