The carnage

Car spotting while out to dinner last night. 69 or 70 Pontiac Grand Prix with a hood tach.

Terrible photos of other cars taken from my car.

1970 Pontiac GTO Judge

Then this, can any of our European members ID this one?

I'm fairly certain this wasn't a car sold in the US. I think it could be a Citroen or Fiat, but not sure what exactly. It has a retractable canvas style roof.

So, ever since moving across the pond I've had a hankering for a smokey V8... with the Hemi going out of production this year, I decided to get one of the "Last Call" models. 1 of only 25 in Canada... makes me laugh every time it fires up:

Congrats! Didn't realize you had moved.

New windshield installed.
Now I can start the maintenance.

Once a year, I usually host a car show at my house.
But this year I didn't do it, couple of friends stopped by with their cars just to say hi.

Safari 911
and a RWB build.

One of those Porsche owners watches too much RWB, and it's gross.
Now that rally....totally jealous.

Finally found some decent replacement seats for the Mustang today. Not perfect but only cost $100 and definitely an upgrade :keke:

I see seats like that all the time and I just have never understood how it happens. Granted Ford's idea of 'leather' was (is?) total stiff shit, but I saw many Gen 2 SHOs with seats much like that Mustang ass holder. Like it was mauled by a non-Mercury cougar.

I understand some weak points, the SHO bolsters were weak points for stitching coming loose. The outer part of any seat bottom will get wear because of how you get in and out of the car. But are you getting into the car wearing a blouse lined with razor blades? I think I could own a car for 50 years and not do that to my seat back. Yet I see shit like that in 5-10 year old cars.

Poor quality materials, no cleaning/conditioning of the leather, fat slobs wearing abrasive clothing, unstable air? I don't get it either. It's 25 years old but only 70-something thousand miles. Tbh the new driver's seat has some wear and it's from a 2014. It's far more comfortable though and has a functional headrest. The stock seats on these were absolute trash.

I sold my Porsche to Carvana. Second car I've sold to them. Both times they gave me close enough to private sale money to make it worth it. I honestly don't know how they do it.

The tow truck guy got in it and slowly backed down the driveway. Then at the bottom of the driveway just stayed there for a good 5 minutes. I thought oh no, he doesn't know how to drive a manual... Sure enough he calls me "sir, I don't know how to drive a stick and I'd hate to damage this car", so I came out and drove it onto the bed. He told me it was his first solo pick up, he must have been like "oh come on!"

How are we feeling about this one year later? I'm still very happy with my Porsche, but I'm thinking about upgrading one more time before we're forced to go EV. Or I'll just split the difference and get a Taycan.

I don't miss it at all really. It was a lousy second car (but would have been a great third car). The Mazda that replaced it is more practical and comfortable in every way.

That's where I'm at now. 3 cars. I take it out about twice a month, and it's still a joy. Im still suspicious of the Porsche bubble which I dont think is sustainable.

Reminds me of Dom's Charger from the F&F series.

Interesting lineup with the Firebird (KITT from Knight Rider?) & the Harry Potter mobile.

Yeah, this was at a downtown comic convention recently, so that makes sense. I haven't seen the F&F movies, but I knew it had to be from something like that. That was Kitt, and there were some other movie/show cars too. But I had to take a pic of that Charger.
