After spending all morning and afternoon closing the pool on Sunday, I was tired and a bit sore; but it was a brisk, beautiful day, and I wanted to enjoy the sunshine that was left while I still could. So I decided to take my weekend car for a drive up the coast. I got out and went for a jog on the Grand Haven beach, and eventually meandered down to the end of the lighthouse pier. I sat there for five minutes or an hour and contemplated life while the shadows got longer. Took a mostly deserted country road the bulk of the way home, and really let her rip. It's almost time to put her into winter storage, so I'm glad I was able to take advantage of a day like that.
