Aren’t you used to it already...?

heh..
that would be an intersting discussion but I'm too e-lazy lately

anyway no, I don't think I agree
Making money in England (I mean also illegal stuff) is the easiest thing in the world if you're smart enough
security just doesn't exist and the cops are DEFINATELY soft handed....at least compared with the italians or germans.....

Name the country and the reason why you would choose it.

It's your turn now.

Ain't no place like...

Can't see myself ever moving from this place. To visit and see the world, damn right, to pack my bags and leave this state/own-little-country-onto-itself forever though... no fucking chance. I love to travel and interact with many places and many faces, but I'm down with the lone star to the death. To be fair though, I used to want to live in Japan, but that was before I woke up and realized the Japan I love in my heart died prior to and after the A-Bomb was dropped. With a culture that went from a super warrior society w. ethics and then later to an industrialized power w soldiers who's souls harkened back to the Samurai days to have become so "Soft" and anti-gun and just soft to begin with. Well they can keep that shit. I like their video games, their food, their historical culture and some of their women + they have the coolest gangsters to ever walk the Earth... but no one could pay me to live there now.

TEXAS FOR ME.

New Zealand. Seems like it has the good parts of Australia combined with being nicer looking. Of course, that's just my half-formed impression.

It's swell that so many of you wouldn't want to move from the US, but I hope all of you get a chance to at least spend some time (longer than a one week vacation) in another country.

I'd like to visit Japan, but it's never crossed my mind to live there

I just prefer a more diverse population

I'd stick out like a sore thumb

I'm surprised with the amount of people that said Germany...

Personally, I really love my country, doubt I'll ever move out of Belgium.

If I could tour the Guevara-Lynch estate or visit with any of Ernesto CHE's family that would be the highlight of me going to Argentina. If I were a little younger and single I would most certainly KNOW the delights of the women there too.

Well if German babes look and are nasty/crazy/sexay like Katja Kassin is, it's a cocksman paradise. Not to mention I understand behind closer doors ANYTHING goes. Guess that's were the Mein Shizah and Watersports stuff manifested from. Also the autobahn seems cool. But for me these are reasons to visit the Fatherland not live there. Like with Argentina I'd spend most of my time tracking down the ghosts of another time.

Usually when I hear the term “police state” I think of authoritarian control and constant, ever-watching surveillance, not getting nabbed for doing something illegal. I believe that would be better stated as “police presence.” In any event, it just gives me a chuckle when I hear enraged leftist from across the pond rant and rave about how evil our industrious government is (and believe me, it is) while they’re the ones being watched by no less than forty surveillance cameras as they type those very words. Ah, but I doubt anyone much cares anymore...

Complacency is the name of the game.

I really can't answer this question as I have never been outside of the United States, except to Canada. But i'm still young and there is time left to travel.

i also considered Dubai, but i'm not sure yet. first i'll have to get my degree and then i'll see, where i can find a job and if i'd find one in Dubai, then i'd love to try my luck there. even if that means 16 to 20 hours of work each day and no weekends.

don't know, if i'd want to live there forever, tho.

Good topic.

I've had a great time in Japan everytime I've gone, working there would be interesting.

I'd say my list, in no particular order:

Singapore
Japan
Capri, Italy
Canada (specifically Vancouver, Toronto, or Montreal)
Sweden

Honestly, short of working in a place on a long assignment or getting so rich I have seasonal residences, I couldn't really see myself moving to another country.

I'm a little surprised by all the people not even volunteering a country, but to each their own I guess.

Most likely, Canada.

I'd love to visit Japan and maybe live there for a short while, but I doubt I'd want to stay there permanently.

He most likely means that because Ireland is part of the EU and he is a citizen of Ireland, he can immigrate freely to any country which is also part of the European Union. Don't you keep up on world current events? :smirk:
