All in all, Yamazaki is a total 'Orochi Retcon' rather than the 'Orochi Hakkeshuu' he's been appointed to be. 
But yet again, both Mature and Vice are just the same (retconned-charas).
Onòy true Hakkeshuu (characters actually conceived to be that) are: Goenitz, Gaidell, Shermie, Yashiro Nanakase, Chris.

At the time, we were all puzzled down here for that nationality. In truth, the game developers (those who came from Irem and later went founding Nazca) were Miyazaki/Takahata addicted and just wanted to celebrate Porco Rosso in an 'Mediterranean (Adriatic) Sea' Background. And since Andy's FF2/Sp stage was in 'Italy' for some reason, the just choose he GarouDen Team to serve for the purpose.

'Settei' is the design work, i.e. 'reference sketch book' that a character designer produce to be used in any product of cumulative hand-drawing Japanese work, such as animation and sprite-job videogames. 
Apart from that quite technical and specific wording, all the proper names of characters, styles and techniques I don't think are supposed to be clumsily translated into any language, but just used in their own original.
Please note that to me, such a golden rule of the thumb does not apply just to Japanese-related media of course. That's not weaboo shit or something. I.E. be sure I'm pronouncing 'Jedi' in its American reading, or 'Sacher Torte' in its Austrian sounding. It's just a matter of sensical consistency in my book. :-)
