I personally have loved the mad catz sticks as of late. The PS4 one is great, it just needs a touchpad button. (Major oversight).

However, the only memory card That's ever died on me was a mad cats PS one card. And it died after only a year and a half of use.

I've used the SFV MC stick, pretty nice for sure. The Shadaloo one looks insane, I love the motif.

I agree man, I was being sarcastic...

Oh ya, I could tell, no worries there. Just reiterating what I said earlier, Kim seemed to think I said he should worship them when all I was saying is they deserve credit for opening the market.

I agree, Kymboyo seems uneasy about the subject, maybe something you said hit home, lol.

Madcatz did a lot by making cheap pads that were great for hacking into stick boxes.

Absolutely, for me to this day the best DC pads I've ever hacked, so easy and well laid out.

I bought their first generation SFIV stick. I had to mail it to them TWICE to get it fixed. Their customer service guy was very rude to me. The stick finally broke AGAIN in 2014.

Good riddance.

I have a Madcatz PS/2 to DC Keyboard Adapter for the Dreamcast that still works. :)

Also Madcatz brought lightguns to the US for the Dreamcast when Sega refused to do so.

I think there was a place in the market for companies like Interact, Madcatz, Nyko, etc. For every 10 garbage peripherals there was one useful, well built, functional device. For instance the Pelican PS2 to PS3 controller adapter is critical for my PS3. It has no lag, unlike many of the cheap white label cables.

i use a TE for ps4 right now, and its fine. They did make it easier for people to get sticks. I remember when i got into competitive fighting games in 2006. The best stick the U.S. had via retail was the Tekken 5 stick by Hori. Now we have Qanba, and a few others. Most likely due to Madcatz. Their own stick was a POS, but the sanwa ones were good

I can vouch for the Madcatz lightguns, played a lot of HOTD 2 and 3 on the dreamcast and the xbox with these, very nice lightguns, comfy, light, well laid out buttons and they hit on screen where you aim them, no complaint's.

I agree with this. When Madcatz came out with the TE, that's when the Stick market blew up and everyone wanted a piece of the action.

It's not too surprising. The market for 3rd party controllers is pretty damn low.
Niche products like fight sticks isn't enough to sustain the size of the company.

I'm glad Saitek made it out alive. They make some of the best flight sticks if you get one without issues...

The Xbox gun has 2 versions, composite and component, both are very decent. The DC Madcatz is ok on some games, same for the Interact gun, they're not amazing by any means but get the job done.

Best gun ever...Guncon 2.

They ruined themselves to me during the 16 bit era. Until this thread I never knew they made anything of worth.

Don't the Xbox guns get video sync over the 5th pin in the controller port? Or is that just an Internet rumor?

I stopped using them in the ps2 days. Terrible controllers then and before. Never gave them another chance after the crap they use to make.

Burned me to many times. WAY to many times. Can't believe they lasted this long.

I'm not sure, I never looked into it, I just know there are 2 types of guns. The green ones, with different video sources, I dunno why, the composite gun doesn't work on the component one, but the component one works on both, composite and component.

Damn, you must not play current fighting games for almost a decade.

I will say that until the fightsticks, MadCatz was shit, but the Panther was badass for some Q3A on the Dreamcast.

Edit:^Hell yeah the Panther was a lot of fun, made Psycho Circus a fun game, remember those days?

Yeah, Neo is mostly about fighting games, like it or not that's the main reason to be into it, and if you are into fighting games you're goona know about SFIV and in turn MCTEsticks. Who knows though, some people are merely here for the sake of being somewhere, like a poser or something.

SFIV is garbage. And there's a shitload more to the neo than fighters. I shouldn't have to break that down for you.

Lol yes just here for somewhere to belong to. It's not like I bought a cdz from your murderer homeboy waseem. Or went to the galloping ghost with cdamm and played a million rounds of samsho2.

Try harder!
