@Spin, I understand how people can feel good about what happened. Personally, I don't. These people are very good at pissing people off, but this is what they want. Unfortunately, like is even mentioned in this blog post, they will sue the entire town and since their rights appear to have been violated, they will likely win (if they aren't settled with before trial). This just further enables them. If these people were ignored, they would eventually run out of money traveling across the country to every little bumblefuck where a soldier is being buried.

I don't think you understand how good Mississippi is at violating rights and getting away with it. I'm so ashamed of this state that I won't even put it as my location and I was born and raised here a most of my life. I chose to put the old name for the area of Mississippi that I live in instead.

And even if they did sue the living shit out of that town no ounce of respect would be lost for it. That town won the day and everyone the world over knows it.

On the day of the funeral, nobody got hurt and a soldier was peacefully put to rest. A few people parked their trucks behind some cars and a few people were escorted away from a place where people were grieving for their loved ones.
