Come to think of it though, I suppose the PlayStation 5 and 3DO have a bit in common - both cost around $500 at one point (admittedly not accounting for inflation), and both only have a relatively small number of decent games to play on them. They also both have a considerable number of releases that are just console versions of PC games.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Should be no surprise that those interested in Neo Geo in the early 90s would be the target market for the 3DO.

But you're forgetting that the PS5 doubles a a kick ass PS4 PRO.

I have them for the Genesis and SNES.
They are weird, if you use them like a normal pad you'll probably hate 'em.
You kinda need to hold the dpad side like an arcade stick then put your thumb somewhat under the button side and come at the buttons with your fingertips.
That said once you get used to them an their weird angles they work ok.
The 3D0 version is pretty rare (mail order only iirc) and EXPENSIVE.
I think it used an SNES type d-pad with red buttons and has a Y adapter hanging off the end for 2P.
I'd suggest just getting your hands on a SNES->3D0 adapter and just using SNES pads or hunt down one of these.

EDIT
I got curious and looked, fuck that SNES adapter and the CPS pad seems to average well over $100.
Just ebay one of those Bluetooth adapters and call it a day.

Thanks- some good info here. A SNES to 3DO would be nice I agree that is way over priced. That BT Adapter looks good- hopefully they produce more stock

This is pretty much the same thing as far as I can tell, they both use Blue retro.

You could always just get this. :kekeke:

I've got the Capcom Pad Soldiers for SFC, MD, and 3DO. I quite like them - it's a lot easier to do PPP or KKK for Zangief using your fingers than with a traditional 6-button pad where you'd be using your thumb.
I also have a pair of the Panasonic-branded ASCII arcade sticks. They've got micro-switched joysticks but rubber membrane buttons, so semi-decent.WP_20171019_03_38_41_Pro.jpg

Finding old style cased games without the top of the insert being all chewed up can be a challenge. Maybe that's why that one was $150. It looks to be in great condition.

Japanese FF1 is three figures now? holy cow.

Complete and in great shape has been over a hundred for a while now. If you don't mind some really noticeable damage, or maybe a missing manual, you can still get it for under a hundred.

Correct. It's in great condition and I paid a premium for that. Fatal Fury 1 is my second favorite Neo Geo game of all time, so I wanted a really nice copy.

lol, what that retard "knows" about video-game values, especially Japanese home carts, isn't worth knowing. @kernow called it right - "digmac mkII".

Wonder if he only buys his tuna off eBay as well....

Second to SVC Chaos?

Second to Magician Lord. I'm not actually a huge fan of SVC Chaos. I loved Capcom vs SNK 2, but I was kind of disappointed by SVC Chaos. But I still think SVC Chaos is fun and I've always wanted to own it on Neo Geo (I had the Xbox version back in '04).
