I just got my AES from Japan today! really excited to play this bad boy and join the community! wanted one ever since i saw it in a magazine and realised i played the games when i was on holiday in the arcades. took me a long time but finally...

BOOM! its here.

I haven't seen a box that mint in a long time. That's the plus when you order from Japan. They take good care of their stuff.

I got lucky with the CPS-2 SSF2; I was talking to the owner of the store about kick-harnesses since he didn't have any JAMMA harnesses in stock, and since he said he wasn't familiar with kick harnesses, he pulled out a CPS-2 set from under the table to ask me to clarify for him. Turns out he was just holding onto it for an old friend who used to be an operator, so I asked if it was for sale. A phone call later, he asks for $50 for the set, and his friend comes over with a JAMMA harness for me. Really lucky score on my part, but I don't think this is a regular occurence there.

If I were you I'd stick around that place, see if I can get lucky again... maybe leave my phone number with the owner. "You know, I have a sweet spot for that crappy old arcade stuff. If more of that comes in, give me a call and I might take it off your hands."

The Tekken Hybrid is a limited edition Madcatz TE stick, so it's got all sanwa in it. It's completely black, except for a Namco logo on the side, and looks like sex. It's a fingerprint magnet though.

Kicking myself for having been just a tad too late when the blackfriday sale of those went down... nice score yo!

He did note that he doesn't come across old arcade stuff like that too often; only when some old operator friends drop off random crap. Regardless, I did tell him to call me if he ever gets his hands on more stuff.

Finally I found this item in mint condicion, a not very popular game called Koudelka but man, in my opinion, it's very funny, with good graphics and sound features.

I have always seen that game as an attempt of SNK to get on the first line of the PSX scene, like other arcade companies like capcom. It's a pity that it wasn't succesful.

Nice. I just got Ghost Pilots as well, though the MVS version.

Also arrived the same day were 3 more MVS carts, Ironclad, NeoGeo Cup '98, & Sam Sho III. And just a few days before that Blazing Star showed up.

Some media. The Wizard on LD. Already had the original Robotech DVD set, but heard this new set has lots of new extras. Also already had Shadow Chronicles on blu-ray, but wanted the new movie. Captain Harlock TV series complete, All the Japanese Transformers TV series in one box set...

Last but not least... this 2 ft tall Voltron/GoLion. Towering retro robot goodness. Also got a 2 ft tall Mazinger on the way (not my first actually lol).

Really? I bought this from Brazil!

Haven't fired it up yet. Probably tomorrow afternoon. Should have more horsepower than a similar unit I got 2 yrs ago. That one came from China though. The chinese one was all plastic. This one is nice in that the shell is made of metal.
