Local find off an estate sale. Cost me the equivalent of $67 and some change (R800 ZAR).

GGPDuwC.jpg

A few scratches here and there but otherwise in good nick. CD drive works great. Sound is nice and clear.

I opened it up. To me, looks like all original caps. Never been changed. No leaking or even bulging, though. One of the very few, I guess, that hasn't had that issue.

How is the water shortage? are you only having one shower a week?

That would be in Cape Town. lol

Not too bad over here. Actually, it's been raining quite consistently.

How's the heat over in Aus this time of year. A bit of a scorcher?

What the hell.. That wall! Is that for keeping those rape gangs out or do you live next to a prison?

One of my favorite movies.

I would say my favorite fantasy movie ever. This has been pretty hard to find on VHS. I would have gave half my toys as a kid to have had this on video. When I was in elementary school I had seen it on late night TV one time, and then a few years later and that was it. Never again until the age of the internet when I was able to order a DVD of it.

There is a Bluray release but it is not in our region. I guess I'll have to get a region free player for that. I hear it has been released on Laserdisc but I've never seen it and I've only seen one copy on Beta but it was missing the box.

It has this big thick paper sleeve around a plastic case. Kind of different.

Also for anyone who does not know what this movie is. (The greatest fantasy movie ever made.)

It has an awesome music score as well. I picked up the album years back and was well worth it.

Ok that looks freaking sweet.

That's right. Next to a prison.
That and you always got to be vigilant for restless natives. :p

Mad Dog McCree & Mad Dog II The Lost Gold.
Original MS-DOS PC-CD games box in good condition.

Perfect games for [Singe]

Fantastic, I loved American Laser Games back when they were in the arcades! I've never played the PC versions but have the original cab for Mad Dog II.

I played Mad Dog McCree all the time back in the arcade. Cool score.

Got my neo chassis back from sharp image repair- I know a few people asked how it would go- they did some really legit work on this thing:

Would also like to hear more about this. Pretty sure the chassis in my Astro City could use a re-cap but I don't want to do it.

You finally found Tengen Tetris!!! I tried my ass off to find that for you when I was your Secret Santa, but couldn't come up with one outside of paying nutjob eBay prices. Glad you found one.

Haha I got lucky with that one, random ebay auction came out to $29 because they spelled Tetris wrong lol

My first neo geo AES game purchases. I'm sure I paid way too much for these. With every platform I learn new tricks and best places to buy from as i go. I'm over the moon, so happy to add these to my amassing games collection. Happy days!

Brand new sealed copy of Gimmick! on PlayStation (plus Super Spy Hunter):

IeoXn6n.jpg

Spoiler:
Fuck you, of course I opened it. I bought the game to play it, not get it graded by VGA. It just happened to be the cheapest copy I had seen in awhile.

Oh yeah! Planning on finishing them all start to end for probably the first time in my life (including magician lord, its pretty brutal...). :) It has to be one of my personal favorite games though, not just on the neo geo but of all time. The creativity, awesome sound track and mythical setting just appealed to me. As an 8 year old, my $1 didn't last too long at the arcades lol

I got copy of Final Fight off of eBay. I've wanted a Mega/Sega CD version for while. Came in great condition.

I also picked up some of the NGDev titles that they, again, offered for sale recently. I'm hooked on Gunlord at the moment.
