More thrift store finds today. I'm loving the Sega Genesis theme that's going on here :) Screen isn't perfect on the GBA, but it is still pretty damn nice. I think I might do a backlight project with it.

P.S. I need Liquid Snake to judge the condition of all my Genesis thrift store/pawn shop finds. I'm awaiting my appraisal :keke:

One of only a handful? light-gun titles for the oXbox.

Nice and cheap for only a couple bucks.

Wasted money. Didn't cost me much, but still.

It upscales like ass. Throws some nice lag into the mix as well.

LOL, yeah you get what you pay for. Old CRTs on the other hand are an absolute bargain if you have the space, a mate and something that can take the weight ;)

1084S monitor (My other 1084S is making noise and probably needs HOT & Flyback transformer replaced, parts have been ordered). Also got ACA500 plus for that A1000.

Damn that looks nice! I remember seeing a brand new boxed 1084S on ebay early last year. I would have loved to snag it and get real about retro computing, but the price blew up insane as expected. Nice to see there are still some mint ones out there :)

You wouldn't happen to know a good place to get a GBA backlight kit would you? Every one I've found on the internet goes for over a hundred dollars which is just ridiculous considering I could buy multiple SP's for the price

They pop up on eBay from Chinese sellers once in a while for around $50. Personally I just bought a busted SP with a working screen.

Mind blown. Never thought about that route. Insane what they are asking for those kits now, I bought a GBA premodded for less than what those kits cost.

I've been doing a ton more board gaming than video gaming. I haven't bought a video game in months - I have pretty much everything i'd like to have. My board games on the other hand is something i'm adding to frequently as late. We play 10-12 hours every weekend in the winter and are finding new enjoyable stuff constantly. We have 6 people who can play just about anything, so that's really been broadening our playbook. Here's the latest pile we picked up:

That looks pretty sweet. I look forward to seeing you use it in a video.

Edit: What's that LED light panel right behind the camera?

Totally agree. I am personally going to float thrift stores for a broken or beat up SP with the brighter screen. If I don't find one after awhile I may just go with a Chinese ebay one.

Nice collection! I enjoy board games a lot. We don't have time to have proper D&D or any other RPG sessions but playing D&D board games works nicely and even my sons have patience to play them.
