I can relate to Keezy, and I recognize her perfectly natural desire to make as much money with as little effort as possible.

Some games are for pillow fucking weirdos, some for small kids, some games are for jakey brodawg douchebags, and some are actually for women. Same can be said for music, or clothes, or TV shows, etc.

Things are out there that we men don't give a fuck about; but none of us are out there screaming to change any of it because we aren't the intended demo and it doesn't concern us.

Refusing to engage the other side in dialogue or to admit she may have made mistakes

So she gets death threats and insults from the public. Everyone with an opinion and a following on the internet gets death threats. It may not be right, but it's the way it is. We can say it needs to stop, but it never will and we all know it.

She chose to make herself a public figure that went on the attack. She can say whatever she wants, but she better be able to stand the heat because if she can't, then she's just encouraging people to dogpile on her.

All ideas must face scrutiny and opposition in order to hold up and be considered valid. She won't do that because, like so many other media manipulators, she knows that anything that opposes the narrative she wants to create will undermine her.

Like I said, she has the right to talk. And it's a conversation worth having. But she sucks at it, and she puts it in the public eye. Reap what you sow.

Nah. There's plenty of sex-positive, female empowerment, egalitarian feminists out there. You can generally tell the difference by their opinion on porn. Feminism, much like the video game community, is a broad demographic (no pun intended) that contains a wide range of opinions on the important topics that face women in a modern, first-world society. My wife is a pretty hardcore feminist (of the "leave women's bodies the fuck alone, get young girls interested in math and science and give us equal pay for equal work" variety) but finds women like Anita Sarkeesian loathsome busybodies. "Tipper Gore with an ironic scarf".
