Has anyone here slept in the sleeper compartment of a big rig truck?
Would you say that it was comfortable?

It's not bad, soon as the lights are out a bedroom is only as luxurious as the mattress you're on, so that's what matters.

It's weather dependent though, you get a heater that runs off a tiny diesel generator so when it's cold you can quickly make it nice and toasty, but when it's hot it's fucking horrible, most trucks (in the UK anyway, might be different elsewhere) don't have air con that runs when the engine stops. You can open the roof up but then you're very aware you're either parked by the side of a road or parked in a truck stop, both are noisy.

Hey look, I just answered a Joe8 thread earnestly, time to kill myself!

Here in the USA you're starting to see overnight truck stops have a unit that fits in the window.
It provides heat, aircon, and power.
The idea being you can shut the truck down completely and help "save the environment".
It's having a hard time catching on because it's just cheaper to pave a lot and park trucks on it.
Truckers here usually just idle.
Some newer rigs have an idle setting that reduces the number of active cylinders to save fuel/reduce emissions.
Small onboard generators are a thing as well.

They have a recent thing around Philly of stealing meat out of refrigerated trucks. Driver is asleep and blowers are running and he can’t hear anything.

Was your daddy a meat burgler? The reason I ask is because it looks like someone stole two fine hams and stuffed 'em down the back of your pants.

Joe, back in November you were asking about building a house out of cinder blocks, and now this. What's going on here?

How many years until the lucky ones live in The Cinderdel under the protection of Immortan Joe8?

Isn't it rare that you get hot days in Britain, anyway? You rarely get sunny days, let alone hot days.

How goes your lot lizard training? It's sweet you're following in your mother's footsteps.

I rarely get kicked in the dick either, it doesn't mean I'm happy when it happens
