Some good ones here. Tuff call for me between Rayforce and Guardian Force but I’m going with Guardian Force since I haven’t played it much.

Yeah even I’m having a tough time choosing what to vote for.

Also, all of these games have multiple ports/versions, so we’ll have to run separate scoreboards.

The most egregious being Life Force which has difference between regions for arcade, let alone the NES port being completely different.

Thunder Force III also has an SNES port titled Thunder Force Spirits.

Anyway we’ll have the scoreboards to accommodate the different versions.

The thought crossed my mind too.

I tell ya what, if people rather do something more halloweeny, we can do Deathsmiles in addition to the vote winner. I’m easy either way. Figured the Force games are some of which we haven’t done in the SOTM before.

Once I saw this I knew RayForce was going to be in the top. Not a fan but not a hater, just indifferent.

Anyway, TFIII for me.

EDF for the SNES is one of the toughest games on the platform.

Did they ever patch it? A friend of mine had it and the lag was insane.

The Cotton 2 / Guardian Force collection got patched to about the same level of latency as the other S-Tribute releases. Still pretty noticeable, especially if you regularly play on a Saturn, but not as over-the-top-wtf as before.
