wii isnt for casual gamers either, casual use at least implies some comfort. Waggling some bullshit around constantly is not casual nor comfortable.

Also, look at super mario galaxy. You had to plug that nunchaku garbage into the thing and what does this do. IT MAKES IT A SHITTIER GAMECUBE CONTROLLER. Tell me why that was even necessary, when I could have just plugged a gamecube controller into the fucking system and had a much more comfortable experience.

All sarcasm aside, to be more straight forward, hardcore gaming doesn't also imply super ridiculous shit. You want a taste of that you go to masochist gamer, which is what I consider myself, as I practically pursue undue torturously tough games just to finish them completely. Of this gen, the only three ps3 titles I've had that experience with were Uncharted on crushing. The first game. And demons souls and dark souls.

I would stick to the Wii U and probably the new xbox, even though there are signs that MS is going casual if this is a sign of things to come next gen along with the BS on disc DLC and shit.
