Still cancelled way too soon. Plus WB/CW/whatever the hell it was decided to go the vapid route, which really is the best way to go most of the times.
Also forgot...
Terriers - Great show about a former cop and a former criminal that team up to become private eyes. There was some marketing but the commercials were way too subdued (usually just showing an actual terrier doing something), so everyone thought it was a show about dogs or just didn't look past what was shown. What was there was a show that had it's fair share of ups & downs with flawed but still likable characters. Apparently, this was the lowest rates show FX put out, which is a shame. Had it been marketed better, it could have stuck.
Also, half the shows Greg Geraldo had piloted. Just because Greg Geraldo.
i feel silly for just remembering it, but with this crowd it seems a shame that no one mentioned 'freaks and geeks' yet.
First season was awesome. You could tell the creators were Twin Peaks fans and there were some obvious parallels. And I loved the score. Josh Kramon had a ton of music cues from his score hosted on his website and I have all of them on my iPod now. One track, 'The Truth Hurts', I can listen to over and over. It's like the bastard love child of Badalamenti's Twin Peaks and Yamaoka's Silent Hill.Veronica Mars - This actually had a pretty interesting story line, I got into it after it had long since been pulled off air and they should have kept it going.
I really wish that they finished out the whole season of Jpod.
OMG! Thanks for this cdamm, that show was great but I never knew about this; searching the web now...!
Thanks for posting them herehere are all 10 webisodes of the critic. i cant believe i remember this from 2000. they were shown on atomfilms (before the suck happened) via shockwave. the animation is very 'year 2000 webcartoon'. enjoy!
You know what I completely forgot to mention? Pirates of Dark Water. Will Ren ever find the thirteen treasures of Rule?
This:
It was goofy, but so much fun. Shame it got canned.
I would've loved to see another season of The Critic, too. The webisodes left a bad taste in my mouth, since they hinted that Jay and Alice possibly got married, then divorced. Would explain why a new love interest was there. But, without any of the old cast members being there, it felt hollow. They should've just kept out any attempt at a storyline and made it just about 'Coming Attractions' and having send-ups of recent films.
Could not remember the name yesterday and got to lazy to find it. THis also needed to be on my list. Anything that gives us more Bruce Campbell, yes.
Dead Like Me; I love that show, but it got canned after 2 seasons. At least they did a movie to finish the story, but it was rushed.
