I wonder if we will ever get back to sleek looking consoles like the PS3 slim as opposed to mammoth ugly looking PCs like the PS5/Pro. I’m pretty sure a PS5 wouldn’t even fit under my TV like the PS4 Pro does.

The 3DO version has every map from the Jag/Mac version, every map from the original PC version, and shoulder butter strafing.

If you're playing 3DO Doom or 32X Doom in 2024 you're fucking stupid to begin with.

The only old console ports of Doom that are worth revisiting at all are JagDoom and PS1 Doom (which is just a much, much better port of JagDoom anyway).

Those people always seem to have thumbnails that look like toes, and prefer Duke controllers

chimpmeister was the antithesis of this. Was the biggest fanboy for original xbox (at launch, when their good games could be counted on a finger) but his arms were so skinny the poor guy probably needed a pallet jack to lift the console onto his entertainment set.

I can't remember but could you use MegaDrive controllers on the 7800 like you can the 2600?
