It's been way too long since we've had any hypothetical boxing predictions in this thread.

Ali or an eighty-foot tall, mechanical Joe Frazier?

i think there is a big difference between yelling at a dude...Then yelling at a dude w/ a gun...

I mean strip down the politics...

One person is being escorted and protected to go to work
The other one is bringing guns to intimidate

They might be bringing the firearms to intimidate, however, if they aren't threatening violence or brandishing then they aren't committing a crime. I'd suggest don't be afraid, necessarily, of every person with a gun. Be cautious certainly, but fear is a response from within.

Let's be clear though, they're obnoxious assholes.

And it's not illegal to be an obnoxious asshole.

Allowing these fucktards, these morons who would push the boundaries just to before they break, is actually what America is about.

Same reason we allow other fucktards to exist like the Aryan Brotherhood, Antifa, Sovereign Citizens, anti-government militias, KKK, etc.

Lol

Yeah only bill gates and his microchips aren't a thing, while bill barr and his pure disdain for democracy and the rule of law are very much a thing.

Oh just in time! DOJ drops case against Michael Flynn. I guess he's not guilty anymore?

Do you really think we're headed towards a Margaret Atwood style Christian Theocracy propped up by a military Junta?

He was only ever actually guilty of lying to the FBI which, honestly, do we really care about? If you interview and investigate someone and then the only thing you can bring away from it is that they lied to you, that doesn't sound like a damning case. It sounds like political vendetta. People love to read into the whole, "We'll if he did nothing wrong, then why did he lie." Which we all know is the safe harbor of fascists...so...

Uhh yeah I'd say lying to the FBI about your role in a foreign government hacking our election is worse than, say, having a dime bag of weed. Only a dime bag of weed gets you jail time and probation in a lot of places.

But yeah, sure whatever.

He wasn't officially in his role yet and he was talking to other world leaders about forming policy and relations. He was still part of the transition team, if he did it ten days later then it wouldn't have been a problem (in fact it would have just been him doing his job).

Most disturbing is Trump and Hannity calling for revenge and investigations against the investigators.

THEY'VE GOTTEN AWAY WITH CRIMES!
Now they want to ruin other peoples live with Trumped up charges.

It doesn't matter to Poppy. Flynn basically hacked Anthony Wiener's e-mails by himself.

Speaking of which, I'm sure you've heard of it by now, but a black man in Georgia went for a jog and two rednecks were waiting for him and shot him, killing him. No charges filed. I'll probably start that thread later.

You 6L in yet?

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-...d-to-governors-emergency-powers-idUSKBN22C38W

Police allowed more than a hundred protesters to peacefully enter the Capitol building around 1 p.m., where they crammed shoulder-to-shoulder and sought access to legislative chambers, some carrying long guns, few wearing face masks.

People had their temperature taken by police as they entered. Inside, they sang the national anthem and chanted: “Let us work.”

That Reuters, a total right-wing apologist rag.

Well, speak of the devil - literally six minutes ago, news broke out that they have finally been charged.

The shooting occurred in February.

You know what lithy, I suppose we'll never know if hundreds of black people armed with guns behaving the way those protestors behaved towards the police would have been treated the same way the white people were. Just leave it at that.

It's 9:40AM over here chief, I'm just waking up from the 3L.

He specifically admitted to lying about asking the Russian ambassador to refrain from responding to Obama administration sanctions against Russia for its election interference and further requested Russia help block a United Nations vote on Israeli settlements which the incoming administration didn't agree with. Flynn also agreed that he lied about his lobbying activities in federal filings related to work on behalf of the Republic of Turkey throughout the 2016 campaign.

Scumbag.

He knew damn well that the Russians hacked our election process and despite being a career military man actively worked with a foreign government to further subvert our national interest.

I didnt see the Russians taking too keen an interest in anyone elses presidential campaign, did you?

The Turkey thing is icing on the cake.

Behaving what way? Armed but orderly? Letting them take their temperature to legally enter the capitol building?

The Black Panthers (rightly) advocated that they should patrol their own neighborhoods armed, police the police. Maybe we should encourage more black men today to carry openly. Maybe we shouldn't cow them with fear that they'll be shot on sight.

Must be nice to drop a load of shit into a thread reposting Twitter/Reddit trash and then just walk away from it, "we'll leave it at that".

So again, you either distrust the state and capitol police enough to think that they would murder a similar black protester or you don't.

Do you have an opinion that you want to take ownership of?

Pretty sure there a law against protesting in a mask

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-mask_law

North America
United States

There are anti-mask laws in many U.S. states and the District of Columbia.[1]

New York State's anti-mask law was enacted in 1845, to provide for public safety after disputes between landlords and tenants.[2]
Many anti-mask laws date back to the mid-20th century, when states and municipalities passed them to stop the violent activities of the Ku Klux Klan, whose members typically wore hoods of white linen to conceal their identities.[3][4]
In the 21st century those laws have been applied to political protesters such as those affiliated with the Occupy Movement or Anonymous – wearing Guy Fawkes masks.[5][6][7][8]
In some areas motorcyclists have been arrested using anti-masking laws.[9]

These laws have been challenged on the grounds that they violate the guarantees of the First Amendment to the United States Constitution to free speech and free association. Some courts have weighed freedom of speech against the public safety interest, and upheld such laws. For example, the Georgia Supreme Court found the law constitutional on the grounds that the wearing of the mask was an act of intimidation and a threat of violence, which is not protected speech.[10] That law has exceptions for holiday celebrations, theatre performances, and occupational safety; the ruling makes it unclear if someone is violating the law if they wear a mask without the intent to threaten violence. A three-judge panel of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit upheld a New York law on the ground that wearing a Ku Klux Klan mask did not convey a protected message beyond that conveyed by wearing a hood and robe.[2] Other courts have struck down anti-mask laws. For example, Tennessee and Florida state laws have been invalidated on the grounds that they were unconstitutionally broad.[10] An ordinance in Goshen, Indiana, was struck down based on First Amendment doctrine that specifically protects anonymous speech and anonymous association, especially for unpopular groups like the KKK.[2]

During the 1918 influenza pandemic in San Francisco, California, a group of citizens that included doctors and several city supervisors formed an "Anti-Mask League" after becoming frustrated with mandated mask-wearing.[11]

Oh I totally agree with you, he's a college grad with decades of job experience. He knew exactly what he was doing thats what makes it worse.
