Wow that is a shock he produced such a great body of work, I'm glad I was able to grow up watching most of it.
RIP guy.

I considered the video game as close to GB 3 as we were ever gonna get. The dialogue in that game was so great, and all the actors came back to reprise their roles. Even BIll Murray, which shocked me the most.

Ramis also had all my favorite lines in Stripes. His argument with Bill Murray about stealing the RV to go rescue their pals is my favorite scene in the movie.

"I got the shit kicked out of me in Wisconsin."

R.I.P. Mr. Ramis.

Amen to that. I am a huge Ghostbusters fan, but the time for a third film came and passed many, many, many years ago. The best fans who are hoping for a new film can pray for is a decent remake at some point (which I personally don't want to see).

Anyways, very sad news indeed, big admirer of his early work. Rest in peace.

Fuck me. I loved this man. He was good, very good. I remember having to watch Knocked Up because my wife wanted to watch it and was pleasantly surprised he played Seth's dad, just that scene alone took away the pain of that movie.

I will forever love him for making the genius movie, Groundhog Day. But he also directed Caddyshack and National Lampoon's Vacation. And for the record I actually enjoyed Bedazzled.

Had no idea he was ill either. They said something about his blood vessels but that never came up in any interviews they did about the Ghostbusters 3 rumors. While the game is rough in some parts and it's pretty much Gears of War skinned with Ghostbusters it still feels good for a 3rd movie. Sucked that Rick Moranis said no so it wasn't a full reunion but what they had was still good.

Saw this when I woke up today, what a bummer. Stripes is one of my favorite movies of all time, and Groundhog Day is up there too. I've never really checked out his work on SCTV, but perhaps now would be a good time to take a look.
