Eh, it's a fun enough little game, I've come around to it more over the years. It's nothing special but the tag-team stuff is snappy and there are some cool moves. Plus it's funny that it's a Double Dragon game without the license. Some of those backgrounds are downright embarrassing though. I don't mind dicking around with it every now and then, it's a 6/10 just like most of the Neo's library. Definitely feels like a post SNK game though, generic, cheap and rushed.

Zero interest in getting this new port though.

It's super fun and extremely casual-friendly. If you have friends who can't play fighting games, they can play this one. Plus, you set off a super combo (forget what they were called in this game) and suddenly, it's like you are playing Parappa the Rappa. I love this game.

I much much prefer Matrimelee to this one, but to each their own... I never enjoyed the tag system, the combo mechanics, or the characters.
Also, I don't get what the beta testing is about for a 20 year old game? Is it to ensure the netplay is as good as on fightcade?

I like this game.

I don't think it's particularly good or anything, but it is fun for what it is.

It's a good game, but I suspect this probably going to sell 20 copies at best. :P

Bought the homecart the first time round, played it for a couple of months, not a bad game but also not a great one, wall-break combos feel broken, lots of abuseable bs in 2P, rather uninteresting 1P bouts, graphics are decent, music is awesome. Did not bring enough lastability to the table for me so it had to go some two years later. Have no interest in buying it again.

As others have noted it was fun originally, but the more you learn the systems the more broken the game is.

Aaah, random but thank you, I've been contemplating which MVS cart I'll sell to compensate for the silly money I'm about to drop on WW7 MVS, it were gonna be ROTD but instead it'll be Matrimelee which I forgot I own and is worse than ROTD (tag team saves it by an inch), both are lifeless fighters tbh.

I'd rather play Power Instinct 2 over Matrimelee if I was going to play anything from that series. But of the Noise Factory games, I enjoy Rage of the Dragons over Matrimelee.

I’d rather play Matrimelee but Power Instinct 2 to me is the best in the series.

Well the last time you played PI2 was in 2006.
the fuck you know that? But I think it was well after that. I had the romz on an old computer up until around maybe 2018, and I would fire up ol' Goketsuji Ichizoku 2 every once in a while.
