So this is actually a new game?

Lame trailer, though. Should've done something new instead of deliberately mimicking the Fallout 3 one.

I still feel like an ass as I still do this day have not played Fallout 3 or any of the DLC. New Vegas looks kick ass though.

Obsidian is developing this instead of Bethesda.

It's tough to say if FO:NV will be as good or perhaps better than FO3.

Probably not a day-one purchase for me, but I am interested.

Ahh, that does grant a bit more perspective. Still, I would prefer they do something different.

And that guy sounds kinda like Ron Perlman.

Shit, it's about time we got something on this game. Sometimes when there's no news for a while it's a bad sign. So as it is, I can't fucking wait to sink my teeth into this baby...

I'm confident Obsidian can deliver, too. For one thing, they're pretty damn good at mimicking other companies' game designs. For another, it seems Bethesda is gonna have a few people over there to assist. So it's possible it won't be quite as good as 3, but I bet it'll be very, very solid.

Damn. This is probably my most anticipated game. Here's hoping it comes out on time this fall. Easy day one buy for me.

So then is 'Rage' not coming out this year? All signs now point to no.

I'm looking forward to New Vegas though.

Oh, this a day one purchase for me. Especially since it looks like it'll tie more into the first two games. Plus, hell, I get to explore a crazy, retro-future version of Vegas. I wonder if they'll have an option of being a porn star in this one, too.

This game will be awesome, I have no doubt about it at all. Will definitely be ordering it (hoping for another Amazon $10 coupon deal to get tied to that game, but probably not given the series popularity)

Hmm....I don't know about all this. Why isn't Bethesda making this one as well?

I'm personally not a fan of Obsidian, KOTOR 2 was awful.

Sounds cool, but then again it's only a trailer. I'll wait for some more info before I really get my hopes up. Knowing it's being done by another company has me concerned, but I don't think they'd let them make too many changes to it.

I assume Bethesda is working on a new Elder Scrolls game.

I could be wrong though.

It's not obsidians fault that kotor2 turned out bad. They had a ton of material half finished that they just didn't have time to integrate. Blame lucasarts for forcing out an unfinished product.

Fallout 3 is one of the absolute best, if not THE best, games I've ever played.

Ever.

The Fallout franchise has earned enough of my loyalty through the excellent Fallout 3 to ensure I will give this game a chance.

Even if the reviews say it's not that good, I'm buying it. I'll play it and decide for myself.

Day one: sold.

Yeah, no kidding.

And what's with the hate for KOTOR 2? It wasn't as good as the first one, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. And even if you think the story sucked (it was a bit obtuse, I'll grant), the game mechanics were excellent, and a good continuation of KOTOR 1's. Who didn't like being able to influence their party, after all? All I'm saying is it was a great effort by a solid developer, at the very least. So there's really no reason whatsoever to be apprehensive about this...

Gonna be a hell of a long wait, actually. Man. Taiso is right... Fallout 3 is probably the best game of this hardware generation (at least I think so), so even a middling follow-up would be welcome in my book (which is kind of how I look at Bioshock 2, by the way).

Honestly, I hope it's a little more linear than Fallout 3. Fallout 3 was great, but too vast in its scope. I think something more focused and tailored to an aptmosphere and experience would work better in its favor.

What?! Too vast? That's like saying it's too awesome.

I liked the vastness of Fallout 3, myself. Everything about that game is sheer brilliance, IMO. I honestly didn't think anyone could make a game that good anymore. I thought the days where I could experience a true DEFINING moment in the gaming hobby were long gone.

But Bethesda did it.

I am more excited about this game that I have been about any game in many, MANY years...Fallout 3 was my first FO title and I fell in love with it...
