Some Scream Factory Blu-ray's over the last few weeks :buttrock:

I ain't seen buckaroo banzai or rabid in years.
Very nice little set of movies, i'm not a fan of carrie or TCM 2, but i'd happily sit down and watch the other's.

The one at the bottom right just reminded me the third Creeper movie is in the works. Big fan of the original.

Got my CPO installed a week ago, but the buttons arrived in the mail today and I was able to get my control panel put together. Seimitsu LS-56 joysticks with octogates, throw mods, and paradisearcade's custom pink tigereye balltops. Start buttons are IL concave imprints and the play buttons are IL convex light smoke (punch row) and dark smoke (kick row) with 20 gram microswitches to give it that lighter sanwa/seimitsu feel. All that's left for the cab now is some dark grey t-molding to make the scythes and title pop.

Cool looking cab, really liking the dark buttons on the all black cab.

My long search for a 1-CHIP SNES is over. I usually hit up a bunch of thrift stores and pawn shops after work just to see what they have. The pawn shop that usually never has anything had it and for a pretty cheap price. It's a bit discolored but it doesn't have a single scratch on it. I took it apart and cleaned it out spotlessly. I now have a 1-CHIP and a Mini. I'm excited to see the difference. I will probably post some comparison pics in the CRT fetish thread when I have some time to do it. The one knockoff controller that came with it is awful lol.

Cool. If you don't mind scanning/photographing them it would be nice to read those reviews... oh, and I thought the NGPC in the second pic was yours (it seems to have a cross ring installed).

I just copy & pasted the eBay listing image :). Let me see if I can find the article *(it's only a few paragraphs)

edit: The magazine was right next to me :thevt:

"Silicon Magazine was a free pamphlet-like mag mainly distributed to video rental stores in early 2003"

I have about 30 coming in the mail from the same seller, so if I find any other Neo Geo stuff inside I can post it if you want. It's funny how they sent review carts to this magazine for what only adds up to a few paragraphs.

I recall a free color 15 page magazine that was distributed in a mom and pop game store in the Dremacast era. I wonder if this could possibly be it. Do you know where I can see a scan of it, or at least the cover?

It's probably the same magazine you're thinking of. There's very little if any info about it online. It lasted from 1998-2003 from what I can gather.

Hey thanks. It's a good review, even if it's short... and SNK needed all the publicity they could get.
I'd definately like to read more, pretty sure others would get a kick out of that stuff as well.

That's the one! I'm looking up more info on it now, but you're right, there's not a lot. I did see some scans, though.

Got lucky & bought a complete copy of Card Fighters Clash for $10 on eBay yesterday. I guess I own two now, but it's nice to have a box & manual, even if one of the flaps has a tear in it. I'm really hoping the prices stay down. What people are paying for Metal Slug 2nd Mission lately scare me.

I have an issue of that mag. Has Harvest Moon on the cover. And I got it for free at a local video game store back in the day.

Some local pickups over the weekend.

I also recently picked up Mass Effect (1-3). I was surprised by how dated these games are starting to look but it's nice having them again. They ran me about $40 for all three..

I've never been into Sport games but Super Real Basketball is one of two that I played the heck out of. Love those massive sprite slam dunks! The other sports game I played a lot was Tommy Lasorda Baseball. And that Castle of Illusion is a must own for anyone into the Mega Drive.

stuff I saved from unstable air in the past month or two.

Twinkle Star Sprites and Bare Knuckle III are two games I would really love to score someday. Very nice pick-ups!

Boxed TG-16 games are very hard to find in my area. I feel very lucky when I find them with a jewel case and manual.
