Oh man, Ryu would be an awesome addition, especially given how important the first NES Ninja Gaiden was to that console's legacy, let alone cinematic platformers.

Regarding the game, i did played it a few times via emulation and it's entertaining but nowhere near the level of CVS. At least we got Match of the Millennium and the Card Fighter Clash games from the SNK and Capcom collab.

At least they got Code Mystics to do the job, I've been pretty impressed with their work over the last five years or so.

I would never have expected SNK to cancel Kyo like this. Pretty silly too, since in game the intro is all about Kyo vs Ryu and char selection screen puts p1 on Kyo and p2 on Ryu as the default picks. I only hope their Terry obsession will stop after releasing Garou Densetsu City of the wolves.

I said it in this thread, but I think the game is incredibly flawed, yet also fun in a quirky and busted kind of way.

Having said that, re-releasing this makes it seem like it's a game worthy of getting re-released and putting new eyes on it and it mostly definitely isn't.
