Back in 2015 or so I bought a super thin Samsung for around $2,500. The form factor was really impressive and incredibly thin..it had this weird dongle where you plugged in all your hdmi cables that was separate from the TV. The picture was fine I guess. But the darn thing lasted about 6 years with moderate use (if that).
I don’t know if thats the typical lifespan of modern TVs, or if I got a lemon or if Samsungs just suck.
Replaced it with a Sony which I think was around $1,500 and it’s been fine, no complaints…though its a bit of an eyesore compared to the low profile of the Samsung.
