We are really excited to be able to bring Xeno Crisis to the Neo Geo, and we’re planning to add a number of enhancements that just aren’t technically feasible on the Mega Drive version be that due to lack of ROM space, CPU performance or other Mega Drive limitations.
These enhancements will include an arcade attract mode, the ability to join in as the second player at any point, extra sprite frames, colour depth, palettes that we couldn’t quite squeeze in on the Mega Drive, more speech, sound effects, as well as full integration with Neo Geo hardware for features like coin/credit support, memory cards, etc...
I am surprised they didn't do a ROM release =/ £200 is a lot of money, especially as they are dropping this just before XMAS and ending pre-orders end of January. Think I will stick with the Megadrive version, although I am tempted.
I for one think that this is potentially a very interesting game, with this wise decision to enhance the neo geo version. Finally something non official which isn't some complete knock off.
If the pound value falls further it'll be all the more attractive
Going with the cd version though the case is pretty unimpressive. The game however seems pretty cool.
Ha funny I didnt even mention the spine card and you knew it needed one. Shit the one for last hope cd is slightly to small and doesnt even fit right as its improperly scored.I've got a spine card guy I can refer you to.
I'll preorder a copy after I recover from holiday shopping. Why do all these projects always land in December when I'm supposed to be shopping for other people?
Well, now they've gone and done it. Another homebrew cart for collectors to buy. A lot of us will bite though. At least the standard edition costs less than we've seen historically.I am surprised they didn't do a ROM release =/ £200 is a lot of money, especially as they are dropping this just before XMAS and ending pre-orders end of January.
