After all those years we finally find out "what is happening in south town". There's an ostrich coup - and the only thing that stands between the new bird order and humanity are a couple of brave policemen with riot shields.

That said: Very nice trailer - good to see Kevin back and the background quality improvements.

Talk about an overhaul. That'll take some getting used to, especially with the Jeff Jarrett head/sunglasses.

He looks fine, but I hope he has alternate outfits that include the bandana.
Same - I like his expanded move set and he looks super fun. Not sure about the visual redesign, but I'm sure there will be a "classic" outfits pack or something for the legacy characters as DLC or something.

Pretty surprised they added him in, and it promises some interesting info regarding what's going on in Second South. I don't want to see too many of the old characters show up as playable, as I felt MotW was a statement that this is a different era and not merely 'the next one' in the series. I still would like to see Andy, Joe and Mai but if we don't get them, I'm fine with it. This is more about Rock & Terry and, by association, Geese. Billy would likely want to have a say in what happens to Rock, given he was Geese's right hand man. If Billy is still alive, and this clearly shows he is, it only makes sense for him to be involved.

I like his look just fine, but I'm not sure I want him in there.

Throw in his kid, protege, student or whatever.

Terry is fine being in there, but the whole point of the game is supposed to be about a new generation/group of fighters.

I'm ok with Billy in there (should have kept the bandana, but there is still time).
I think it would have been more interesting to have a grown up Lilly Kane instead.

I think I'll keep my thoughts to myself as it's good some of you are getting something out of all of this.

About FF3/Real Bout, would it be wrong to say it's a competitive fighting game but which uses the one on one format to do something else? The fights feel like action sequences within a story driven game. For an arcade experience back in the day it seemed so weird to me, but it worked.

I think that if anyone pushes back on you over your opinion on a video game to such a degree that it starts a gay argument here, those people have a bigger problem than wanting Billy to be in this game.

As I said, I have no issue with Billy being here. It makes narrative sense so long as Billy's still alive. Not sure about the weird 'being on fire' thing, and I don't care about the bandanna. He's not a kid anymore and I'd wager he's not an outlaw anymore, either. If he's been left with any of Geese's responsibilities in Southtown after his 'death', it makes sense for him to look more professional.

If he's exactly the same Billy Kane as he was before, with no changes whatsoever to his life since Geese took the Nestea plunge, then there's no reason for him to have ditched the bandanna.

I think SNK called it a "Real Battle Action Game" so IMO you're not off the mark.

Interesting, he almost looks younger here than his alternate appearance in Garou Densetsu Premium (used to play this on iOS years ago just to see the new cg fights/animations).

Some of the fighting animation featuring Billy from the old trailer at 1:58:

He looks kind of young there, and without the bandana it's pretty jarring. That said, the design is cool. I dig it.

I also noticed that his Japanese VA doesn't have the same high pitched voice, which is interesting.

I'm all on board for bringing back some of the older FF characters into the MOTW world. They all don't have to be students/proteges/kids of existing characters, plus Terry.

I want a large mix of both, and seeing established characters in an older form interests me. We all got older, why not them too? And it's only like...10 years in-universe. They're mostly in their 30s so still younger than most of us now.

I agree that they shouldn't all be students and whatnot. Who's to say they would even all take on students to begin with?

I think that "being on fire" thing is just them being in the SPG area of the life gauge.
It goes away when you get knocked out of that section of your life meter.
It is the replacement for the TOP system from MOTW.

It's an FF game, not motw. "motw world"
