I like Scarface, in spite of its fans. But the "fans" do bring it down.

I like it too, but the fans sure are annoying. Seems like most don't even get the movie, Tony isn't the hero.

Creepy Tim Burton fans. I'm in a film class working on a group project for the final, god I can barely stand the group.

The only one I couldn't stand was Bottle Rocket.

Actually, I never finished that one. I rented it on VHS way back in the day, got about 1/3 through it, turned it off, returned it. Wasn't digging it and have never felt the urge to go back to it. I don't even remember why.

Yes, these are type of people who wait outside of Hot Topic when a new Tim Burton movie comes out so they can score all the latest merchandise.

You should. It's as good as the better Wes Anderson movies, and Criterion finally did a version — a nice blu-ray, at that.

That's kind of the point.

I'm not thrilled by people who quote it all the time, but during the show its pretty fun.

I get that its the point, but that is what the Rocky Horror fan base is. Every showing I've gone to always has that "That guy". It's the person that went online and memorized every line to say. It is funny at first, but then it feels like director commentary during the movie. I'm always excited to hear some fresh new jokes during the film.

I'd say Kill Bill or Quentin Tarantino movies but I actually like them. It's just that there is a large contingent of fans who love to praise QT as the best director of all time and quote from all of his movies non-stop. That part makes it difficult to admire his movies in front of others.

I'll go out on a limb with Avatar. Enjoyable to a point but not after you see the growing fanbase on bandwagon environmentalists.

And The Lord of the Rings. Would be fun without people dressing up like elves or hanging Middle Earth posters in their offices. And if they cut out the walking/running parts out of each movie that take up half the run time.

While I like his movies, I can't stand it when people that think he's the best director in the world. With the exception of Death Proof, most were enjoyable. Are there better directors out there? Absolutely.

This is a cunt of a thread. I didn't read it but the title alone is a cunt. If you like something, you like it.

A Clockwork Orange and Scarface. I really like those two movies, but people can be too obsessed with them, it's embarrasssing.

I was guilty of this back in 10th grade (Halloween costume party). Then again, all four of us did do a critical analysis of certain points from the novel that year. We were thinking of going with the chapter 21 look, but figured the others would recognize the 'Kubrick' look.

Going back a ways here, but Office Space. Hilarious movie, but terrible characters to imitate.

Anime - I think people would accept it more if it wasn't for the dorky, no pussy getting white dweebs and the fat ugly white chicks who are obsessed with it.
