Biden will be the nominee in 2024. The idea that he's unpopular and sleepy is just a media narrative.
I don't care about unpopular or sleepy. There are too many aired news clips of him looking bewildered and lost. Losing his place in the middle of a sentence and looking around for help. That's not a narrative. That's old age. Biden and Trump are both way too old. Neither of them should be running.

Looks like both House and Senate are still up for grabs. I think the media is doing that "early celebration" thing. Yes, it wasn't a WAVE but I don't think it was a blow out on the other side either.

I think 72 is a good age limit for running for President. I mean…there’s a minimum age, to be prez-right?

There outta be a maximum.

And term limits for the House and Senate.
I'm not sold on the term limit argument.
Sure we get new reps every other cycle but the money that powers those seats doesn't change.
I think we would be better off trying to end the money than just swapping masks.

Boebert is pulling ahead to take that spot after all in Colorado. 4 more years of Ted Cruz's escort and her pedophile husband ... yay.

Razor thin margins there and as divided as ever. Need some new blood running the show, too many old ghosts of the past haunting those government walls.

How do you propose we end the money if the same people stay in office for decades? Who do you think votes on these things? What you're suggesting is like wanting to reform the catholic church but not get rid of any of the pedophiles who are currently there protecting each other. Surely you need to do both.

I never said don't do both.
My hesitation on term limits is some of those guys are actually doing a pretty good job.
Kicking them out could do more damage than good depending on who replaces them.
I think stopping the money is the better first step.
Taking the big paycheck out of it would disinterest lots of folks from even bothering.
But like you said, none of them are going to vote themselves out of a job or a fat paycheck.
Perhaps a convention of states could be a possible avenue to limiting terms and money.
I'm not crazy about amending the constitution as things could go bad fast if we're not careful about it.
Anyway, you could do both.
Perhaps a maximum of ten years with a money cap of some sort to go with it.

I'm not familiar. Sounds to me like someone has been watching a Fox News montage of choice edits. He's always been a gaffe machine -- that's well known, but he's been less of one in recent years. If anything, he comes across as the sensible voice in the room.

STK is conflicted. There’s plenty of clips of Trump being a complete dingbat.

Nice sarcasm, bruh.

Maybe each state should be it’s own country with its own rules?

Let’s go deeper, each city can become its own government

No wait, each neighborhood has its own rules

Isn't that pretty much how things work now?

Federal, state, county, local governments plus a homeowners association all taxing and regulating us to oblivion.

Trump is a different kind of dingbat. He's wrong, uneducated, dangerously plows ahead into stuff he has zero experience in, lies reflexively, and makes shit up.

It's this kind of disingenousness that is so fucking tiresome. There's no conflict. I said right in that post that I think neither of them should be president. Just because I think Biden is no longer fit for office doesn't somehow make me for Trump.

Need to stop electing people to office over the age of 70. What is it that makes these geriatrics so alluring? Maybe we should ask @M

We equate age with wisdom. However, anyone who's hosted their older relatives for Thanksgiving knows that's not a 1-to-1 thing. Morons don't suddenly become smart because they've survived long enough to retire. Wisdom requires self-reflection and contemplation.
